DBB Project
During the tendering process of the customer, we have noticed some inconsistencies in the request itself, and technical requirements to the valve.
After detailed review of the all information, we found out that the requested valve is full bore trunnion mounted valve, however the application and technical requirements allow to use reduced bore soft seated valve. The comparison of these valves shows us the difference in the weight (225kg vs 25rg), face to face dimension (750mm vs 375mm), delivery (30 weeks vs 20 weeks), and the price (3 times higher).
As a result of our solution, the DIRECT COST saving was around 600,000 Euro.
The HIDDEN COST, which is transportation, handling, installation, hook-up to the valve are far more higher than the valve cost.
This is the BRIGHT example of the our working strategy. Focus on the technical side, requirements, find optimal solution.
Project CMM

Required 2” Class 300 & 2” Class 600 DBB valves

  • After short time of use customer detected leakage in critical H2S application, high number of valves need replacement
  • Installed valves had 3-pcs body design with Graphite Sealing only

Technical difficulties and solution provided:

  • Tight engineering and manufacture period due to initial valve’s leakage

to change initial valve to the bigger size 1” to 2” )

  • Technical solution with one piece design (reducing potential leak paths) and advanced sealing arrangement
  • Special extended handwheel design to operate between pipe racks
  • Strengthen handwheel due to special design
  • Temperature requirements up to +340C
  • FE test requirements (ISO 15848-01 CLASS B)
  • Tapper bore on 2” flange

TCO Warehouse Fire System

In 2019, Victaulic products were selected for TCO warehouse construction.

The project was designed by KMGP, for whom we provided training and presentations on Victaulic groove technology.

As a result, the entire fire-fighting part of the warehouse was made on a system of grooved joints.

More than 40 items were purchased, and 300 pieces of different products.

EmbaMunaiGas Project

For the first time in Kazakhstan, Victaulic grooving technology was installed in fully Kazakhstani company. Victaulic grooving technology were successfully installed in KainarMunaiGas and ZhaikMunaiGas oil fields.

Another major point of this project is that Victaulic grooving technology was used for the crude oil service.

15 multi-way well switches were replaced, where were used over 400 Victaulic couplings.

The use of a couplings made it easy to replace in a fire hazardous area without fire, loss of time and additional costs. The use of couplings will facilitate further maintenance and replacement of equipment in the future without the use of fire.
