GOODWIN INTERNATIONAL LTD
Pioneers of Check Valve Technology
Goodwin International is a British engineering holding founded in 1883, one of the leaders in manufacturing specialized check valves for oil and gas, chemical, energy, and other sectors.

Goodwin International, by having two check valve products, the Goodwin Dual Plate Check and the Goodwin Non-Slam Axial Check Valve, can offer a cost effective solution to meet the vast majority of customer requirements and applications.
Dual Plate Check Valve
Patented "slim" plate design giving improved flow efficiencies and superior metal-to-metal seating shut-off. 5 basic body styles: Wafer, Flanged, Solid Lug, Buttweld end, Hub end, and in an extensive range of sizes, pressure classes and materials.
  • WAFER TYPE
Wafer design. Clamped between flanges with bolting around
outside of valve. Permits installation in a piping system in same manner as any conventional wafer valve
  • DOUBLE FLANGED
Double flanged design. Permits installation in a piping system in same manner as any conventional double flanged valve, ie studs and nuts per flange.
  • SOLID LUG WAFER
Solid Lug Wafer design. Clamped between flanges with bolting passing through the body of the valve.
  • BUTTWELD END WITH TOP BONNET ACCESS
Buttweld End design with top bonnet access for inspection purposes. For direct welding into a piping system. Can be provided with transition and/or pup pieces.
Axial (Non-Slam) Check Valve
In applications where forward flow can very quickly turn into reverse flow, ie high system decelerations, non-slam check valves are essential.
  • TYPE NB
The NB employs the worldwide proven ring disc/radial guide design. With its friction free guiding and the aerodynamic flowpath through its two ring shaped flow ports, the NB is “best in class” for speed of response and flow capacity.
  • TYPE NC
The NC is the compact model of the centrally guided ring disc design. With its short face-to-face and reduced weight, the compact NC is a lower cost solution to the NZ when marginally higher pressure drops can be accepted.
  • TYPE NZ
The Hybrid NZ valve combines the hollow ring disc of the N type with the single spring guidance of the Z Type making it ideal choice of valve for low flow gas applications.
  • TYPE NK
The NK is the compact model of ring disc/radial guide design. With its short face-to-face and reduced weight, the compact NK is a lower cost solution to the NB when marginally higher pressure drops can be accepted.
